Description

It’s fairly straightforward to add the Radiator Thermostats into the Bosch Smart Home app. Once they’re connected, the thermostats first have to run through a configuration phase, where they work out the maximum and minimum movement they can make to control the valve. Once done, you can group Radiator Thermostats into rooms. Where you place more than one thermostat into a room, you use a single temperature setting for all devices.

Bosch can see if your product is online but cannot gain access to your information. If necessary, you can authorise Bosch to gain temporary access to your product. The temporary access can be revoked at any time by turning it off in the app. Convenient overview: the room’s current temperature, its relative humidity and the status of the heating controller are shown at a glance.Once done, Alexa discovers your Smart Radiator Valves. With voice control you can set a specific temperature in a room, the change is made until the next scheduled set point. You can see how much you're heating Many smart heating apps allow you to monitor your energy use, making it easier to see where you could be saving money. Efficient heating: heats precisely as needed and with energy efficiency thanks to time programmes and special services such as “Sustainable Ventilation”. This isn’t particularly flexible, as you may want to have a room warmer in the evening when there’s no sun, and cooler during the day. It would make more sense if, like rival systems, Bosch let you set a more detailed schedule. You get smarter control when you use the Door/Window sensor. Using the pre-defined ventilation detection service, you can set the system to turn the Radiator Thermostat to Low (effectively, off) when a window or door is opened in the same room, saving money by not trying to heat the outside constantly.

It's simple to use and will switch the boiler on or off earlier than scheduled to ensure rooms in your home are at the temperature you want when you want them. It's also got Open Window Detection to help stop energy wastage by switching off the boiler if it detects a window has been opened and works with Alexa and Google Assistant. You can also set the temperature of each room using the thermostatic radiator valves. In the diagram below: Can be combined with the Radiator Thermostat with limited range of functions as a remote control, but without transmission of temperature values. This connecting device plugs into your broadband modem and allows your smart heating appliances to be controlled by your smartphone app. Precise and efficient: measures the temperature at a predefined point in the room, controls Radiator Thermostats II and thus ensures the optimal temperature.

A84-1870: A low battery has been detected on one of the linked wireless devices. Battery replacement is required. The Room Thermostat II and Room Thermostat II 230 V are also convincing thanks to their modern LED display, which clearly and legibly displays all information relevant to room-temperature control. Intuitive operation by turning and pushing the button of the Room Thermostat II and Room Thermostat II 230 V is now additionally supported by visual signals from a multicoloured LED strip. For example, red LEDs indicate that the temperature is being increased, while blue LEDs show that the temperature is being lowered.

Requirements

You can also set up heating schedules within the app to change the thermostat temperature throughout the day. In the diagram above, the thermostat is located in the living room. So you could set it to 18°C and also schedule this to change to 20°C between 7pm - 8pm, making it nice and cosy for you in the evening when you settle down in front of the TV. Breakdown warning: Do you want to be on the safe side? You can also create an "IF room temperature <15° THEN send message" automation. Limescale protection: To prevent limescale from forming in your thermostats outside the heating period, the valve opens briefly once a week throughout the year.

It builds on the Nest Thermostat E's white plastic design by being available in four different colored trims, which complement the screen's shade. However, as it's relatively smaller than most non-smart thermostats, you'll likely need an additional trim plate to cover up the holes when installing this model. Sadly it doesn't come with a stand as the Nest Learning Thermostat does, so it can only be wall-mounted. Could you be left in the cold if your heating breaks down? Not in a smart home! Your radiator thermostats feature a number of protective functions to minimize the risk of a breakdown: This means you can remotely set the thermostat and smart radiator valves temperatures. You can even set the exact temperature with smart radiator valves, instead of the 'rough' temperature as you do with thermostatic radiator valves. Now you can adjust the room temperature according to your wishes. This is possible by setting the heating and lowering temperature and by setting the timer. Unlike a smart thermostat, you can install a SRV without needing the help of a professional. In most cases, you simply: The function of a smart radiator valve (or SRV for short) is exactly the same, but with these four key advantages: Smart TRVs are smart thermostatic radiator valves, which, in combination with the EasyControl, allow you to control the heating in each individual room to give maximum comfort when and where you want it.
