Description

Bokeh is not easily definable as you look at individual images – but a lens with great bokeh makes a surprising difference in the overall atmosphere of your pictures. Fujinon XF 90mm F/2 Lens Review – A weather-resistant lens with stunning optics, perfect for portraiture, wildlife, landscape, and more In terms of accessories, the lens ships with a premium plastic square-shaped lens hood and a soft lens bag. Focal Range As for vignetting, the lens shows a little darkening in the corners wide open, but it is not too pronounced. Imatest measured approximately 1.26 EV on average in the extreme corners and if you stop down to f/2, it is reduced significantly. By f/2.8, all traces of vignetting are practically gone, as illustrated below: If you are bothered by what you see wide open, you can take care of vignetting easily using post-processing software like Lightroom or Photoshop.

These are all the lenses we’re going to be looking at today. If you already know the exact use case you’re going for, this should be a helpful comparison. Lens This lens has no weather sealing and is vulnerable to moisture, dust, and humidity. This means that when you’re not using the lens, it needs to be tightly capped. The reality is, both of these lenses will give you stunning, sharp photos with great bokeh. The real question is whether you are looking for something that is also a wide angle lens or not, and your budget. The 23mm f1.4 is definitely in the upper price range when it comes to Fuji lenses.

Precaution

If you’re like me and don’t like this plastic lens hood, Fujifilm has made an all metal vented lens hood that attaches to the barrel of the lens rather than the filter threads. It’s a really nice improvement in both design and aesthetics and I highly recommend it. Fujifilm has gobbled up more and more of the marketshare due mostly to their versatile line of quality lenses. With more high-profile offerings like the 16mm f/1.4 or the 90mm f/2, you might not pay much attention to the older and cheaper Fuji XF 35mm f/1.4.

I absolutely love the 1.4 as you can tell from this post. It still hasn’t come off one of my X-T2s and won’t for the foreseeable!

Introduction

The great thing about this combination is that you can’t really go wrong. My personal kit contains the Fuji 35mm 1.4 + Fuji 23mm f2 (while I try or rent a lot of lenses, I only buy ones I see myself traveling with regularly).
