About this deal

So, in all, I must say I genuinely love Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy. It’s something that I think can make a difference for puppies and the dog community. It is for all owners and dogs, not just puppies, and it will (hopefully!) start opening some eyes about positive training methods. In his book “Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy” reknowned dog trainer Steve Mann describes building positive associations with the vet. He suggests that with the vet’s permission, you take pup just inside the door, feed lots of treats, give lots of praise and then leave. Repeat several times until puppy looks forward to the experience. Then you can gradually increase the duration and distractions within each “visit”. Eg stay a bit longer, encourage the pup to have cuddles with the receptionist and get used to having the vet nurse touch ears and examine teeth. Steve Mann is Founder of The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers, the IMDT, and Author of ‘Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy’, the highly anticipated puppy bible!

Whether you're living with a brand-new puppy, an adult dog or a rescue dog, my methods will give you everything you need to know.Typically when you search ‘best book about X’ there are reams and reams of listicles that corroborate each other; usually leaving you with one or two front runners in the particular subject area you’re interested in. When I searched ‘best book for new dog owners’ and ‘best dog training book’ I couldn’t find a definitive winner. After scouring the web for a while I came across Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy which purported to be ‘The UK’s No.1 Dog Training Book’, but it wasn’t this marketing slogan that sold it for me, it was the more endearing, ‘Your simple step-by-step guide to raising and training a happy puppy’. A happy puppy. Isn’t that what we all really want from a dog? An excellent and encouraging book that emphasises the importance of teaching your puppy positive behaviour and enjoying being with you without constantly telling the owner off (Ian Dunbar, I’m looking at you...) Steve has worked as an Animal Consultant for TV and Film shoots and regularly speaks at behaviour, management and training conferences. I've been training puppy classes for several years but this course has absolutely revolutionised the exercises and techniques I'll be using from now on. If you're thinking about doing this course I've two words for you 'DO IT!" Together we’ll also design and develop your personal, fully comprehensive multi-week puppy group class syllabus and lesson plan for you to take away and use in the future:-

Steve’s philosophy is largely based on his view that there are really only two reasons why your puppy won’t do what you want it to do: Excellent course, broadened my thinking and provided new ideas of how to incorporate known exercises into classes - my old classes now seem quite boring! Good mix of theory and practice. Amazing to hear from Steve directly and valuable resources provided. So glad I booked. Steve Mann’s love for dogs radiates throughout the book and every training exercise, every case study and every memory I read just made me feel more excited to finally bring my puppy home (she’s called Rosie 🐶). As a complete doggy novice, it was important that I read a book that explained the fundamentals in dog training and I’m so glad that I chose this one. The author’s whole philosophy is based on positive reinforcement and teaching your new friend the behaviours that you want them to exhibit, not just stopping them from doing things by screaming their name or yelling “NO!”. Don’t get angry – it won’t help. All the puppy learns is “when x, y or z happens, the human gets cross therefore x, y and z need to be avoided at all costs” A brilliant 3 days which gave me material and ideas for many more years of my puppy classes to come. A really eye-opening and exciting view of puppy training, home visits and classes. Thank you!Absolutely Amazing ❤️ it' and as always came away from another IMDT course hosted By Liz at PDT learning lots' and realising i need to work with puppies 😁 ❤️Thank you so much Steve' and the Amazing Tania Folks 😁 ❤️ your class As a professional dog trainer Steve has worked with many celebrities including Graham Norton, Emilia Clarke, Brian Blessed and Theo Walcott. You can listen to Steve on his podcast Pupdates which he co-presents with Radio One's Scott Mills. Bekoff, Marc. Canine Confidential: Why Dogs Do What They Do.
