Orks have been dominating at tournaments lately, and conveniently enough, this box seems to come with an assortment of models that slot right into those meta lists if you wanted to try them.

Field the might of the Emperor’s chosen champions and overwhelm your opponent with sheer force. This box contains a Storm Speeder and 29 Primaris Space Marines, with a Captain, Bladeguard Veterans, and a ton of Intercessors – including regular, Heavy, and Assault varieties! Death Guard Battleforce: Plaguefester Warband The Starshard Bastilla is pretty alright, if it weren’t sharing competition with the Vanari Sentinels for a similar role. The Bannerblade is widely considered straight up bad. Lumineth really don’t need a Bravery buff. Well Radukar didn’t last long in Ulfenkarn. Slayed by the courageous explorers of Cursed City, he is now reborn as a beast. But still keeps his wolf coat… BelladammaVolga, First of the Vyrkos Sisters are a fan favorite faction, and their newest update helped reinvigorate a lot of their model lineup. That being said this might be a decent place to start as all of the models inside are the recently updated ones!

It pits Xandire’s Truthseekers, a warband of Stormcast Eternals armed with the Thunderstrike Armour (and an Aetherwing) against Da Kunnin’ Krew, a warband of Orruk Kruleboyz. There’s nothing worse than being woken up from your nap aeons earlier than planned, which is a fact of (synthetic) life for Necrons across the galaxy. This Battleforce is especially cranky about it, and wants to put its opponents to bed with esoteric guns wielded by Lokhust Heavy Destroyers and Canoptek Doomstalkers, and the razor-sharp claws of the Ophydian Destroyers and Flayed Ones. Get HeroQuest Now For the Holidays! Parties, festival parade, just join the cavalcade! The party never ends with the debauched followers of the Prince of Excess. Let’s see who’s here for a great time; The fast selling Cursed City board game was released this week together with the Cursed City book from C L Werner.

What do you think of the pricing and value for the new GW 2021 AoS and 40k Christmas Battleforce boxes? Radukar the Wolf and his Court return from Cursed City in form of miniatures to be usable in a Soulblight Gravelords army (or as a painting project). Kainan’s Reapers (Ossiarch Bonereapers Warband) If you like High Elves, look no further than the Lumineth Realm-Lords, as they are essentially the spiritual evolution of what we all think of when we hear “High Elves”. He is a God of Destruction that once sparred with Gorkamorka himself and broke one of his teeth with his shield. Shield that is able to repel most spells: roll 3D6 and if you beat the casting value (not the casting roll) then the spell has no effect on Kragnos. He can be used in any Destruction army and is a real steamroller. Galen and Doralia ven Denst – Witch Hunters As you can see, when you open the box it’s just a ton of sprues, but there are instructions for everything included. IF you need help on building anything we’ve done tutorials on pretty much everything in the boxes! This does make me wonder where the long-rumoured GW (not Forgeworld) Horus Heresy box is going to fit in now? Probably in the new year? So let’s take a look at the individual forces and the Value in each box. 2021 Battleforce – Soulblight Gravelords – Revenant Legion (Contents, Price, Value & Savings) A Psychomancer cryptek leads the force, with a unit of 10 Necron Warriors and three Scarab Swarms making up the durable centre. The real killing work falls to a Lokhust Heavy Destroyer, three Ophydian Destroyers, five Flayed Ones, and two huge Canoptek Doomstalkers. Overall the way I view this box that it’s quite good if you’re only interested in casual play. Almost everything in the box is matched by something else in the army that does the role better so this ends up feeling like a collection of second stringers. If you don’t care about an optimum build it’s a decent way to get a bunch of stuff together fast. Final Verdict: Good Value Ossiarch Bonereapers – Mortisan Tithe Echelon

From one group of self-involved egotists to another, it’s the pointy-helmed Aelves of Hysh. This insufferably well-oiled Vanari Shining Host focuses on the Tyrionic half of the Realm-lords’ martial forces, bringing 23 models of archers, spearmen, and cavalry to bear with gleaming precision. While a box full of simple marines might not be exciting, it’s certainly viable as you’ll need a ton of marines to fill out a full list anyways! Lauka Vai is the new centrepiece for Soulblight, half vampire, half bat/drake she is a monstrous combatant. She was presented in Warhammer Fest Day 1 show together with all following models. Vengorian Lord Another kit to be refreshed is the Zombie one, this time coming with female figures and without the excessive tombstones of the Cursed City ones. Fell Bats This box does not do the slightest thing for me, but, admittedly, I have never had an interest in Slaanesh. The jury is out on the value of these as we haven’t seen the prices yet, but anything in the ballpark of last year makes these sets a steal.
