When I finished the book I desperately wanted it to keep going. I do love where the story leaves us but I could not get enough of these characters. If anything, I would have loved to have seen more of the setting. Evidently, we are limited to do this because of our narrator being a cat who does not venture too far from her home, but it would have been lovely to explore some of the beautiful areas that were nearby. This had me thinking of cats because, as we all know, they go “ Meow!” to everything. This can be a very loud “Meow!” while you are sleeping, or to greet you, or to ask for food. Perhaps they are saying “Mu!” (Not!”) instead of what we perceive to be a “Meow!”. In that way, maybe they are telling us to abandon logic, and directly experience.

First I had a mixed feelings as to what was the target audience of this book - was it balanced for teens, grannies or crazy cat ladies like me, since the cat's POV is a bit... specific, let's say. And after finishing the book I am still not sure, but I don't give a f***. I really liked the heart warming tone of it with some major principles of one of the greatest religions explained in a simple and encouraging way. There's some humour in it and a lot of wisdom too.

Tathagata Cat appears in Merc Storia as a 3★ monster introduced in the 3rd collab between the 2 games. What I got: a cat that is inexplicably knowledgeable about american/english gossip and explains Buddhism to, apparently, five-year-old readers through a series of mildly interesting parables concerning extremely flat characters. If you are a cat lover or someone looking to learn more about the Dalai Lama and Buddhism, I do recommend this book to you. You will thoroughly enjoy this book. I know I did!Cats (unlike most dogs) will only eat when they are hungry and take a nap when they are tired. They are not out to please you, worry about their own ego, or dwell on things, but they do what needs to be done just like an enlightened person.
