This book tries its hardest to convince the reader that in some way Roxy CHOSE to stay with the Vipers. That she loves them. That this isn’t manipulative, at all. And that to me is disgusting. It also does its hardest to slut shame women, but I mean, what do I expect from a book that is literally depicting an abusive relationship with ZERO self awareness? The spicy scenes. There’s quite a bit in this book, so if you are looking for mild spice, this book is not for you. This one goes off the charts with the spice in the book.

Diesel (The Grim Reaper) he's bat sh#t crazy he's the assassin who comes up with unique ways to torture and kill their victims for shits and giggles. He's unpredictable, a predator, your worst nightmare. He'll send you to hell with a smile on his face. He burns in the flames of darkness. he's the very reason why the city is scared of the Vipers. Is Den of Viper the greatest fiction of all time? Absolutely not. Is it a fantastic smutty read with characters that you might fall for? Yes. Ok, this was kinda ok. And I rarely do edits on 3 star books but I kinda enjoyed doing this one so yea. So getting on things I didnt like.....Roxy is this young woman who has been on her own since she ran away from her abusive father. She now runs a dive bar where she makes the rules and is respected among her customers, but she doesn’t have anyone in her life that she can count on when she needs help. She’s used to having to defend herself and can bring down a man that is easily two or three times her size, and despite her upbringing, she is a fighter. She has learned not to let the demons of her past control her life. This book is about as fun as taking a knife up the pooper. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I felt like I was in a freaking fever dream while reading this. Knight is truly an author to behold because somehow she managed to make me bored, angry, and just plain confused all at the same time. star equals a bad book. I barely finished this book and I will never recommend anyone waste valuable book reading time on this book.

Roxy is an awesome heroine. She is independent, tough and beautiful. She isn’t afraid and she likes pain so she is able to stand up to the four hot as sin, tattooed tough guys that take her. They call each other brothers and all four are as close as real brothers because they have all been through hell and are broken in their own ways. The viper guys lmao they made my kitty clench in disgust more than anything 🤣 some scenes just threw me. If you like wattpad written by 12 yo one direction fans, you’ll be just fine. The writing style is -1 star. I did not understand the whole inner darkness of Garrett and Diesel, just psycho dudes thrown at your face for no reason, the girl deserved them, she’s the most annoying one. While all of the relationship stuff is going on, the Vipers are dealing with a rival mafia that’s trying to have them eliminated. Roxy ends up helping them since her life is forfeit without them. Either she’ll spend the rest of her life running since the Vipers won’t let her go, or anyone trying to settle a score against the Vipers will kill her. Especially after she is seen with them in public. Since they do eventually let Roxy join them on trips to get information or for Garrett’s underground fighting. Not to mention they dress her in snake accessories and clothing, as the guys start to buy her things. Eventually even trusting her with knives and a gun of her own, as well as ensuring she knows how to use them. And giving her the choice to leave. Sometimes in life, you meet people worth dying for, and they are usually the same people who are also worth living for. But you can’t always have both.”the leader is the rude asshole in the fancy suit who acts untouchable but actually has feelings under that mask. coooool sO uNiQUe I won’t spoil the ending, but it’s intense like most of the book. And a lot of graphic scenes of abuse and assault. So, if you can’t handle those types of things Den of Vipers is not for you. Also since I know some types of sex scenes can be triggering, there is that too. Since it explores pretty much every kink. There’s no vanilla sex or the scenes written from an emotional standpoint. It’s all written in the physical sense. And not all the kinks might be something that’s your cup of tea, quite a few of them were not mine. There’s are a lot of sex scenes in the book, like almost every other chapter has a sex scene in it with one of the guys and Roxy… sometimes multiple. It is reverse harem after all. literally everything else you can think of in a book is terrible in this one. no, i’m not exaggerating. read it for yourself.

Other than that, I did like this book but didn’t love it. It gets 3.5-stars from me. Now, will I try K.A. Knight’s other books? Yes, definitely. Other readers have loved this book so I will be recommending it. It is part of KU right now (as of 8/2022). Each male here was so uniquely different all with such distinct personality traits. If you know me, you know I’m not a fan of captivity books. So even I’m asking myself, why do you like this? Good question and the answer is ... I have no idea. But I do know that situation was handled very well, in a way that made it work. She’s a bird after all. The leader is Ryder, he wears a suit and runs the Viper corporation, which is a legitimate company worth millions and has a lot of smaller companies underneath. Ryder is cold when he needs to be and his main goal is to keep his brother’s safe. Ryder’s real brother is Kenzo, who is more emotional but is also tough in his own way, he works with Ryder in the legitimate businesses. Kenzo also is a master at games and runs several illegal casino’s, he can also can throw down when needed. Though Roxy was awesome and very tough, I do think that there were a few times she was a bit too crass for me. Like one time she went with Ryker to a meeting with the board of Viper Corporation and she walks, sits down and puts her feet up on the table. I just don’t think that an adult who wants to be taken seriously would behave like that. She doesn’t need to curse at certain times and be disrespectful to look tough. I just think as a bar owner, she would know when to act crass and tough and when to act like a lady. the bookie is supposed to be the nice one out of the group but he’s the first one who rapes roxy so....Stars equals I am buying a physical copy of this book. I will read this book at least 10 more times, it is the best ever. I see now why this book is so popular. It’s my first book by KA Knight, but I’m impressed. She can write death and gore just as well as she can beautiful soul searing prose. Don’t even get me started on the hilarity, I don’t recall laughing out loud this much for a book. Wonderful really! Diesel is one crazy man. There is literally no other way to say it because in this case you have to call it like you see it, and even he would admit it. He gets off on people pain and loves to torture people. He’s the type of man who would bring you the appendage of an enemy to you as a gift after the enemy looked at you the wrong way. There is nothing in the world that scares him more than loosing his little bird. the other guys are just dumb stereotypes too... we have the “leader,” the “enforcer,” the “bookie,” and the “assassin.”
