About this deal

Btw I just read of another keyboard in the Casio series along the cts1, which is the ct-400 (those names are so confusing and hard to remember right) - a keyboard with more voices, a screen and pitch wheel. While there aren't that many sounds, they sound terrific and the selection is top notch, which is more important, at least for me. The CT-S1’s compact design ensures music is always by your side and easy to pick up and play anytime and anywhere.

I particularly like the VOX and Farfisa sounds not mentioned in James Shawcross' review (not sure if somebody demoes them online) but they are amazing. If you love creating music with vintage Electric Pianos, Synths and iconic sounds from pop music history, there’s lots to like in the CT-S1.Authenticity isn't an issue either as you can make your tone sound the way you want with the choice of studio-worthy effects. The same engine has been used in some of Casio's higher-end instruments too, but here users will get the ability to treat it much like an acoustic instrument, thanks to a reflex-loaded speaker system that spans the full width of the keyboard.

Other MIDI-enabled apps and external devices ensure there are no limitations on experimentation as you keep exploring new and fun ways to listen, adapt and create musical experiences. The Casio CT-S1 and CT-S400 have identical key action and key bed with the keys having a box-shaped acoustic piano keys design . Even without the weight, the different levels of touch sensitivity are enough to allow for dynamic playing. The only sound I wish it had that seems 'obvious' but doesn't really have is a good classic soft brass synth sound. I just need something for parks, jams, taking it out to open mic nights and clubs etc as I go to those quite often. Because there is no screen, nearly every function requires an non-intuitive series of key presses and button combinations. li>AC or battery powered, for taking your music anywhere.

I was looking for a lightweight instrument to play for rest home services and other places that I play where I need to bring my own instrument. Casio's new AiX sound source has been redesigned from top to bottom to create the best keyboard sound that modern technology can produce. Whether you’re on your sofa surrounded by family, or relaxing in your bedroom, play whenever and wherever the mood strikes. Third, press the SURROUND button, and the sound from the speakers will place you right in the middle of your music. It does however have 61 really useable sounds as well as the potential for Bluetooth audio and MIDI connection. And with a design that's impressively lightweight for easy portability, take your CT-S1 wherever you go! The CT-S400 , on the other hand, benefits from Casio’s large backlit LCD and revamped user interface .
