On standard SSDs the amount of SLC cache used will be relatively small, and that means large transfers can saturate the cache quickly, so half-way through copying a game install you might slow to a crawl as you get to experience the real performance of QLC. If you have a Z790 board and use a Gen 5 SSD, then you may lose functionality of PCIe slots entirely.
