Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

It doesn't always make sense and the tone varies but the story and cast are pleasing enough to carry the film along. They are chased around in the train until Maggie pulls the emergency stop cord and she and Garrett jump off the train. Ian Carmichael has the performance of his career playing the nigh wrong man-esque physics professor out on a flimsy spy plot. Curt Jurgens pops up for the finale in a trial run for his Bond villain role and Janet Munro is quite lovely. Maggie tells Garrett to meet her at the train station, where she convinces him to board the train with her.

The ill-fated Janet Munro is quite charming as the female bait used to trap Ian Carmichael's scientist. Ian Carmichael was apparently disappointed with the production of this vehicle that neither knows not cares what it is meant to be. Garrett arrives at the Ministry of Defence for a meeting, and while in the bathroom a box of chess pieces is dropped off to him that his driver believes he mistakenly left in the car. They find the life jackets have been attached to trousers, and that Garrett and Maggie faked the attempt for the island. From there things oscillate wildly from light comedic sparring with Munro to proto-Bondian henchmen menacing our hero.Sadly, the decidedly naff title did summarise and embody the film only too well, both as regards final product and as a description of the plot. Garrett makes several halfhearted attempts at escape, until finally Maggie reveals that she has taken a set of keys to try to help them escape.

Imagine North by Northwest but with Ian Carmichael substituted for Cary Grant, Janet Munro for Eva-Marie Saint, Curt Jurgens for James Mason, a canal boat instead of a crop sprayer and cliffs along the coast of Yorkshire instead of Mount Rushmore. The next few hours involve Garrett being treated as a guest, while he waits for the submarine to arrive. We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions.G. Wodehouse’s genial upper-class bumbler Bertie Wooster – heads a strong cast in this comedy Cold War thriller. At the meeting, the Major tells Garrett that he must stop socialising with Melnicker since he is a known communist.

Maggie then says she has to leave and Garrett leaves alone after copying down Maggie's phone number. Directed by the BAFTA-nominated Cy Endfield, whose credits include Zulu and Hell Drivers, Hide And Seek also stars Oscar winner Hugh Griffith, Bond villain Curt Jurgens and Golden Globe-winning British actress Janet Munro; the film is presented here in a brand-new transfer from the original elements, in its as-exhibited theatrical aspect ratio. Garrett and Richter fight, and Richter loses and goes over the side of the cliff to his apparent death. British film critic Leslie Halliwell said: "Too many mysterious happenings with too little explanation sink this comedy-thriller from the start. G. Wodehouse's genial upper-class bumbler Bertie Wooster - heads a strong cast in this comedy Cold War thriller.

David enters the building for his interview where Major McPherson questions him about his association with Dr. Director Cy Endfield mishandles the jokier aspects of the plot, in which a scientist working on a top secret project is presumed to have defected when, in actuality, he's been kidnapped. Garrett starts to walk down the road and comes across a policeman on a bicycle who goes back to the cliff with him.
