I can understand why there is no place for this little gem on the market and it is being discontinued. Though I am generally not a fan of designer scents, however the ET ones stand out as one of the better.I feared an obliteration of my senses from an overuling shroud of rose but I have NEVER found an opening of two notes that are as perfectly balanced. If I weren't constantly trying new perfumes, this may be "the one" - but there are days when I still want something more light and airy, more like my Eau du Ciel.

this is like seeing a range of paintings by one of your favorite artists -- she has a distinct style and sophistication that you can definitely discern from a lot of other perfume creators. This is a "50's femme fatale" scent, glamorous and larger than life in the old Hollywood kind of way.This is so popular that I often hesitate to wear this because I don't want to smell like someone that other people know, I really want to have more of an individualized scent. Just discovered this and it's splendid, especially since it's such a bargain (it definitely smells 6 times more expensive). This isn't the spicy oriental in comparison to London Burberry, Opium, or Obsession, these latter fragrances are much spicier. The dusty almonds, the stale lilies, the sugar that blasts you almost off guard; it's easy to be like wow I wasted my money, but give it some time and revisit it. It is growing on me on the dry down though and it smells much better from a distance than it does when directly sniffing my wrist.

Does remind me a bit of Spellbound, another masterpiece by Grojsman in its subtle spiceness and overall sexyness but Spellbound is a true masterpiece and Rubies is a great perfume but not on a masterpiece level. I have never come across a scent that so perfectly harmonizes rose orchid and heliotrope my 3 favorite flowers.Some people may find the powdery nuance headache inducing, however, or the sweet and almond cloying. It is potent for being an edt in both persistence and sillage, I prefer to spray this on the mid of my body and on the wrist because it is so intense.
