About this deal

Shimmer function adds a new feature - the combination of 5 switches and an Octave button, which creates a different effect and bring more excellent sound to your music. However, the octave shimmer sometimes sounds like it’s just a hair out of tune—though that might have to do with the intonation of my bass. After a couple of days I was truly disappointed with it since the algorithm really blows on saturated input.

If you've yet to experience the majesty of shimmer reverb, let us explain: the 'verb trail is pitch-shifted - usually up an octave - to create an ethereal haze behind your guitar, a little like a synth pad. War eigentlich gar nicht so schlecht, hat sich gut gemacht auf meinem Pedalboard, guter Sound, aber nach wenigen Monaten mit Macken --- Sound ist weg, dann vermindert, dann wieder voll da. Seamlessly merging shimmer and reverb effects, this pedal offers a whole new dimension of sound manipulation. I have no use for Shimmer, although I'm sure someone else does (If I were a better pedal steel guitarist, I could imagine using it for an ethereal Daniel Lanois effect), but I can see Room and (especially) Spring coming in handy. In his free time, you'll find him making progressive instrumental rock under the nom de plume Maebe.

The shimmer mode has its own section where you can change how much the pitch is shifted (note: the numbers on the knob refer to semitones). The reverb on this pedal is common, I use it rare, because shimmer mode for me is better in playing. There is a trails switch that changes whether the signal cuts off or rings out when the effect is turned off.

Shimmer" is an odd effect to describe, but essentially it throws the reverb back at you with some oddly distorted harmonics. The shimmer function is assignable to all five of the pedal's reverb types, activated using a separate footswitch, while holding both footswitches allows you to save a preset, too.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. For your money, you get an on-off switch, a really bright blue LED, a three-way toggle at the top, and three dials - one big, two smaller. It's the shimmer we're here for, though, and while we weren't expecting Eventide levels of tracking, we didn't think it quite stacked up to shimmers from DigiTech or Zoom, either - to our ears, lower notes sounded a little out of tune. Shimverb Pro uses floating-point DSP chips, new hardware has giving out you a much wider space of development. Unlock a universe of sonic experimentation with the Mooer ShimVerb Pro – the ultimate pedal for musicians seeking top-tier shimmer and reverb effects in a single, versatile unit.

Again, to the left will decrease the distance, so you have very much less of an effect, but to the right is a different story. Putting the Level up to maximum was oddly satisfying, producing a really distant echoing bass, highly reminiscent of a lot of early psychedelia tracks, particularly on bass solos and outros. Plus, the pedal's 32-bit floating-point DSP chips ensure optimal audio quality, offering exceptional sound clarity and precision. He's written liner notes for major-label releases, including Stevie Ray Vaughan's 'The Complete Epic Recordings Collection' (Sony Legacy) and has interviewed everyone from Yngwie Malmsteen to Kevin Bacon (with a few memorable Eric Clapton chats thrown into the mix). This faithful recreation captures the essence of the original Atari 400 while incorporating modern technology for an authentic retro gaming experience. Some mention that it makes great sounds, has a nice warm echo, and has reverb that is good, while others say that the quality of sound isn't entirely authentic, and there is an incredible drop in volume on some settings.
