Listening to the narration was a definite upgrade from simply reading the text, and it also helps makes the experience more immersive. Kaetrin: I grew up in England and Maltesers (along with Cadbury Flake bars) were fixtures of my childhood. The runtime is also prohibitive, because 20 hours means you’ll be listening for AT LEAST two days, probably more. And then, once things are settled on, they move at a pace that feels honest to themselves and their feelings. And in a more contained number of pages, I think that characters would have stood out more and made more of an everlasting impression instead of being overshadowed by unnecessary drama towards the end.I really wasn't sure what to expect from this new-to-me author, but I'll admit that I'm a softie for a manhoe who is smacked upside the head the moment he meets the right girl - and that is exactly what this story is all about. but the best part - ilysm Cara gosh - she's the bestest bestie and i love her already (are we getting Emmett x Cara sometime soon? He’s arrogance dressed in expensive clothing, smooth, corded muscles, and a charming smile, and quite possibly the face of chlamydia; I can’t be certain. in Ontario, Canada, and mom-ing with her incredibly sweet and beautiful little boy (he takes after his mama) and her animals. this single handedly convinced me to never reading binding 13 because i think my head would combust.

If I have to read another book that has ADULTS (this is not a YA, teen, New Age/college age book) saying things like “Amazeballs” “Bestie” and/or “Catching Feelings”, I’m going to stop reading books altogether. It's not even what I would consider the Misunderstanding trope; there's kind of a misunderstanding but it's more like an outside event causes the misunderstanding, and it's resolved super fast. I do want to note that while MLB doesn’t have many Black players, around 30% are from Latin America, which is a far greater proportion than what you’ll find in the NFL/NBA/NHL and possibly more than MLS has, too.The hero’s fascination with her is very hard to understand because there was nothing to kickstart it. However if it was an anthology of short stories or novellas and the author(s) were good, I would read them. From the start, she tells him exactly what she wants from him and he tells her whether he can deliver or not. The way he acted, the things he said, just everything about him was more than I ever realized I wanted to see from a book boyfriend. This is a reformed playbook meets girl who's scared he's gonna hurt her (emotionally), which if you REALLY think about it is just slut-shaming lmfaooooo.
