Others have mentioned the longevity, but to me it was altogether average-I got 4 hours which, really, was 2 more hours than I wanted it on my skin. And I am pretty confident in saying that this frag was considered a cheapie (at least for its scent) since day 1 it was sold. Slightly raucous and harsh on first application, this softens and mellows on the dry down into a beautifully balanced green and leathery scent. Loved wearing Jacques Bogart for the first time, this is one classic I've never tried, blind bought for next to nothing, the new formula is COMPLETELY fine, and I'm really satisfied with it. I love it, it's a beautiful scent, and it's very inexpensive, with a masculine slant, though non-offensive, and not overly masculine.

Typicaly from vanilla tobacco perfumes I get a spicy scent which is very similar to dry carnation stems, or the oil from carnation that dentists use. Great performance lasting easily 4 hours for me - most scents don't last more than 2-3 hours on my skin. Like Aramis, Paco Rabanne Homme, Aspen, Quorum, Versace Homme, this is something John Travolta might have been wearing as he bopped along in the opening of Saturday Night Fever when this kind of ultra-aromatic, ultra-green scent was everywhere. If you are looking for a new fragrance to add to your collection, I would definitely recommend giving Bogart Eau de Toilette a try.It smells of cherried tobacco with musky undertones, quite sweet but still a bit sharp, though its notes do not include cherry or tobacco, the effect instead being created by lavender, tonka, patchouli, oakmoss, citruses, florals (including rose), and musk. Performance is relatively tame considering the house which released it, but it's still a strong fragrance. It starts out with synthetic, in-your-face lavender but dries down really well to be sweet, creamy, woody notes with remnants of tobacco (if you’re looking for it). I don't get much floral notes, but its definitely a sweet vanilla matched to powder, covered a watery aquatic tone, but not the 'sport' or body wash kind of aquatic notes. If you are looking for a classic, well-rounded fragrance that is affordable and long-lasting, then I would definitely recommend giving Bogart Eau de Toilette a try.

Bogart isn't a linear scent, but it works through the top and mid notes quickly enough for me to largely dismiss them.Indeed the opening is a bit confusing, as it feels initially fresh, and playful maybe a bit intrusive too, but the dry down is a masterpiece. but I swear I can tell the subtle difference in this hyper complex animals, which ultimately come together to be vastly similar. I'm a small time hobbyist/ collector and a Baby boomer so without further ado, it means I adore this scent. If you want to kick up the Bogart to all day you must keep an extra bottle handy, as in your glove compartment or otherwise somewhere close by so you can reapply and keep the spirit alive.
