Description

It’s actually a very quick read, a good read though but not an exceptional read considering the weight the name Martin O’Neill carries in Ireland and the UK. In each episode you'll follow one person's journey, getting to listen in on their coaching sessions with Selina and following them as she sends them off on a task to try out a new career idea. He then moved to England and joined Nottingham Forest, playing under the legendary Brian Clough, with whom he won back-to-back European Cups in 1979 and 1980. He gives a decent and open view of his sporting life that sheds light on a truly remarkable career at the very top of the game.

There she is given the chance to undo her regrets and try out each of the other lives she might have lived. He made his breakthrough playing for Distillery in Northern Ireland before joining Brian Clough's legendary Nottingham Forest team, becoming one of the few players who made the epic journey from the Second Division to the glory years: winning the First Division championship, two League Cups and back-to-back European Cups. He oversaw the Republic of Ireland reaching the Euros in 2016, when they made it to the second round for the first time in their history. Written with his trademark honesty and humour, this is one of the best sports autobiographies of all time and a must-read for any fans of the beautiful, glorious game. However, by the time we get to the Sunderland and Republic of Ireland jobs, it does feel as though he is running out of steam. Do you feel weighed down by stress and pressure, held back by judgement and lack of opportunity, and critcised by everyone – including yourself? The people of Japan believe that everyone has an ikigai - a reason for being; the thing that gets you out of bed each morning. There are not enough examples of situations that occur with individuals and he barely references many big games with Celtic or the last two seasons he was there. Biography: Martin O'Neill began his career in Northern Ireland, winning the Irish Cup with Lisburn Distillery.

The only disappointment was that as his career progresses, particularly into management in the premiership, he doesn’t go into more depth when describing many of the characters in the dressing room, the make-up of the club and the characters involved.p>Written with his trademark honesty and humour, this autobiography is from one of the most compelling and well-respected players and managers in football, Martin O'Neill. Sir Ernest Shackleton's attempt to traverse the Antarctic was cut short when his ship, Endurance, became trapped in ice. Not your usual unintelligent oaf of a player boasting of his escapades, before ending up in the bankruptcy court as they livein a rented studio flat in Sadsville. The vast majority of these women do so, against a backdrop of raising families, holding down 'proper' jobs and generally swimming against the tide of what is expected from them.
