About this deal

Christine Daae is a fictional character and the protagonist of Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel The Phantom of the Opera and various film adaptations, including the most popular musical, released in 2004. Following the contours of the bodice neck line, cut the lace so it is approximately 6" wide at the front, tapering off towards the shoulders then widens towards the back, join the pieces together at the shoulder. Again the red, green and gold shades are kept, and again the design shows how Victorians would envision a historical style rather than showing actual historical style.

So cut a 3" piece of cream crushed Taffeta and attach to the bottom of the train, cut a piece for the main train be careful NOT to stretch the material. I could give you the short version - and my interpretation of them (which might not be identical to other interpretations of it).Attach the hook side of a piece of velcro to a rose and sew the fabric side to the bodice to attach the rose. The bodice is fitted and can be accented by a wide brimmed feathered hat or a small pill hat with a veil. Both romantic and scary, The Phantom of the Opera is a thrilling night of theater with grand emotions. While I do find the movie's costumes to be lovely overall, many of them don't work within the context of the story.

There are no obvious sources for this dress - which I love - but some plausible ones can be seen here. I decided for Halloween this year to go as christine Daae and wanted to recreate her iconic robe look. By choosing any of the listed costumes of Christine Daae, you can bring the romantic story of the Phantom of the Opera to life.

In the stage show, there are diagonal ruffles on the skirt, and there's an overlay draped at an angle in the movie. and transforms onstage (shoutout to amazing cast member Satomi Hofmann, who plays the Wardrobe Mistress) to an opera diva, and then to what I think is her most iconic look (ignore the crown in this picture). It's her only costumes that reflects her as person and not a character she is playing or a costume to has to wear. The show does this by removing the rope skirt and switching it for a larger, grander skirt that has heavily patterned fabric, heavy embroidery, and gold tassels.
