In the book you feature the beautiful scenery of the Lake District and the gardens of Kent in England. It always adds to the story though and never feels like padding, despite the book’s length there is not a single word wasted, each builds the intrigue and the story piece by painstakingly fascinating piece.

I don't want to say this now before officially finishing the book, but I'm quite disappointed with how this book turned out. Her youngest daughter Sonia would go on to become the great-grandmother of Camilla Parker-Bowles, the wife of Prince Charles. And both the character and her stories fit so well with the setting and themes of the overall arc here.

Star takes on the role of both romantic partner to him, as well as mother to Rory … their fate is truly written in the stars (or, well… by me! I literally got lost in this book, it took my imagination away to London through the ages, to the farm and fields of Beatrix Potters domain, and an old but loved house in the countryside of the now as well as the secrets from the past that it is keeping.

Star is the quiet sister, the one who always lived in CeCe's shadow, letting her talk for her and make all of her decisions.I spent hundreds of pages inside her head and feel like I still don't know a thing about her, except that I find her selfish and boring.

I couldn’t really get a proper handle on her romantic counterpart and she didn’t really seem to be all that interested. In the first two books of the series, you focus primarily on a single sister, whereas in this story, CeCe plays an important role.Is this simply because of their particularly close relationship or are you planning to involve more of sisters in each book from now on? Flora's story went in quite a few unexpected directions, and I loved the appearances of figures such as Beatrix Potter. I cannot wait to visit Thailand and Australia with her in the now, and then Australia of a hundred years ago to see where her origins derive and who the author manages to pull into the story from the history-books to keep things interesting. To me, ‘exotic’ doesn’t always mean far away beaches and palm trees; it signifies what is exciting and unknown – and there is so much of England that I have yet to discover.
